A new farmers’ market, bringing together some of the best locally grown and made produce, is set open at the end of January, and continue to operate every Saturday morning (8am – 12pm) from the Gawler Visitor Information Centre car park (the corner of Murray St and Lyndoch Rd, Gawler).
Featuring more than 30 stallholders, the market’s official opening will include plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including cooking demonstrations and kids’ activities.
The market will showcase fresh, seasonal South Australian produce, sold directly from farmers and producers to the local community. There will be a diverse mix of meats, fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts, jams and chutney, breads and smallgoods available.
The Gawler Farmers’ Market is being established through a partnership between the Town of Gawler council and the Adelaide Farmers’ Market. This project has been supported by the Government of South Australia’s Regional Development Fund.
